Day 2

Camp to Anascoul

Out from John Doyle’s B&B in the tiny village of Camp this morning up the mountain and through the pass to get to the other side of the peninsula.

The view as we leave last night’s stop in Camp

Catherine carefully crossing the brook on the stepping stones reminiscent of her “crash” on the second day on the Camino in 2018

Catherine admiring the lush green fields of the valley on our way up to the pass. Ireland really is VERY green

Just a cool old stone building. Not many old buildings left.

Heading down the other side of the pass toward Inch Beach

Standing on the cattle gate steps looking toward Inch Beach

Ahh! “Refreshing Beverages” at Seafront Pub and Restaurant.

And these are the REALLY “Refreshing Beverages”, and what’s left of the cabrese salad. I forgot to take a picture earlier.

A view of the 6km long Inch Beach from the parking lot where we continued our hike after stopping for lunch and “Refreshing Beverages” 😉

At the end of the day it sure felt like more than 19 km.
